The Wrangler NFR is not only about the thrilling experience of excitement, fear, and danger that you will experience during the event in the arena; there are also multiple entertainment options. This includes the entertainment that is before and after each performance of the rodeo. The NFR events run for ten days in the first week of December each year.
To ensure that the NFR fans will be having an easy time when traveling, there is a complimentary NFR express shuttle for the fans to utilize. This bus service is provided by 24 sponsors hotel properties. When fans arrive at the Globe Life Field, Arlington, Texas, they are greeted with several areas that are rodeo themed, and they extend beyond the arena.
Outside the Thomas and Mack center, there is a ProRodeo zone that has sponsor activation tent of PRCA, and fans are entertained with live music, which is played inside there. At the entrance, there is an NFR zone, which also has additional sponsor tents and an official Wrangler NFR and PRCA merchandise trailer. Additionally, in the NFR Fan Zone, there is also beverages and food options, tables and video screen that make attendees congregate there.
To enhance the experience of fans, two outdoor video boards are displayed on the entrance face and highlighted videos, contestant’s interviews, interactive content, and wrangler NFR moments are broadcasted.
The shoe, a 36,000 square foot hospitality area on the northwest of the arena, has been highlighted. This area features a saloon, a glass-enclosed balcony that contains strip views, interactive zones, and saddle displays. The Shoe is also a place where the rodeo pre-show for The Cowboy Channel+ will be broadcasted.
The shoe is accessible to all fans who have a Wrangler NFR ticket for the performance of that evening. The shoe also features the rodeo live broadcast of each night, and this is inclusive of a large-screen projection.
On the southwest of the arena, fans can have fun in the various amenities and activities of the Cowboy Corral come back at the Cox Pavilion. In the Cox Pavilion, there is a huge bar and live music, and it also has several places where you can sit and relax.
Live entertainment during the Wrangler NFR includes D’em Boyz and Andy Griggs that are always playing every night before the Wrangler NFR begins at 5:30 PM. After the NFR, the Cowboy Corral continue entertaining the fans with Sean Curtis, Britt Stokes Band, and the Divine performances.
Outside the Cowboy Corral, the Bull and barrel saloon sit right outside it, and it has its food and bar service. It also contains the hall of Championship, which gives attributes to the previous NFR champions.
The entertainment proceeds as the fans start settling into their seats. Before each performance, there is an opening act, and then the singing of the national anthem follows. The attention of the audience is thereafter turned to the awaited moment of the event where they watch the various contestants showcase their skills and compete for the world champions Gold Buckle.
